WELCOME TO NEW LIFE CHURCH!  We want to know you.  On the “WELCOME TO NEW LIFE” comment cards, which are found in the pockets in the back of the chairs, we invite you to share your requests and place them in the offering basket or bring them to the Welcome Center.

 

 

OUR NURSERY AND KINGDOM KIDS offer a warm, nurturing atmosphere and are well supervised.

NEW LIFE MAIL SLOTS are a great “NEXT STEP” for new people to receive weekly updates on New Life events.  You do not need to become a member to receive one.  To obtain a mail slot, fill in a Welcome Card and check “A New Life Mail Slot.”

  

 

 

 

MISS A WEEKEND?  New Life offers a CD of the message from the previous week(s) at the Welcome Center.  The message is also available to be downloaded from our website and the outlines are available as well.

 

 

 

CHILDREN’S BIBLES are available for purchase at the Welcome Center.  We have done the research and made the initial purchase of Bibles to help families “Get Dusty.”  Check out this resource.

 

 

 

THANKSGIVING EVE NOTICE:  Mark your calendar now for our annual dinner and service on Thanksgiving Eve.  Who are you planning to invite on Wednesday, November 26?

 

 

 

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE SCHEDULE:  As we did last year, we will host Candlelight Christmas Eve Services on December 23 at 7 PM and on December 24 at 2 PM and 4 PM. 

 

 

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL SIGN UP!   New Life Church is forming a basketball team for 3rd – 6th grade girls.  Practices will start soon so sign up today at the Welcome Center.  Questions?  Contact Jeff Dryfhout at jeff.dryfhout@saralee.com.

 

 

 

MORNINGSTAR STARS OF HOPE PROGRAM is an opportunity to bless some families in the Joliet area during the Christmas season with Christmas gifts.  We are looking for some individuals to coordinate this effort in our church.  If you are interested please note on a Welcome Card or contact Pastor Todd.

 

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION TO NEW LIFE CLASS:  Our next class on the past, present and future of New Life will take place on Sunday, December 7.  The class will be from 2 to 6 PM with a pizza celebration dinner at the conclusion.  This class also doubles as our Membership class, but there is no cost, obligation or expectation for attending the class.  Sign up by a Welcome Card or by contacting Pastor Jul. 

 

 

 

YOUTH 101:  New Life’s monthly Profession of Faith Class for young people (7th -12th grade) begins again THIS Sunday, November 16.  (This is a class that takes place monthly through May of 2009.)  For the first class, we will meet from 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM with lunch being provided at church.  If interested in attending this class, please note your interest on a Welcome Card or by contacting Pastor Jul.

 

 

 

MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Friday, December 12.  That evening we will celebrate with the Kingdom Kids as they present their Christmas Program.

 

 

 

CHURCH OF THE WEEK?  Did you know that New Life Church will be “Church of the Week” on radio station 89.7 beginning November 23?  Mark your calendar and watch for further details.

 

 

 

KINGDOM KIDS is gearing up for our Family Christmas Service Project!  We will be collecting children’s pajamas and fleece to make fleece “tie” blankets on Sunday, December 6.  Pajama and fleece donations can be dropped off in Kingdom Kids classrooms or in the office.  More information is available at the Welcome Center.-

 

 

 

LET GEMS DO YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING FOR YOU!  GEMS are selling gift cards from Nov 14-Dec 7.  Stop by our table in the lobby to place or pick up your orders.  A portion of the gift card will go directly to GEMS.  Thanks for your support.

 

 

 

THE VILLAGE OF NEW LENOX will be hosting the annual tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 7 and the local Youth Coalition is looking for groups to decorate a tree for the event.  We are looking for some families from New Life who might be interested in taking part in this.  Along with that we are looking for someone who would be the contact person and coordinator for this.  If interested please contact Nick DiSandro at 815-603-1683 or by e-mail at ndisandro1@comcast.net

 

 

 

 

THE CADET FUNDRAISER deadline is December 8.  Visit their table in the lobby to sample the Koeze products and place your order.

 

 

MOPS COOKBOOKS ARE HERE!  It has 300 of the most delicious recipes from our MOPS moms and our wonderful women at New Life Church.  The cookbooks will be available for immediate pick up at the MOPS table in the lobby after service.  One cookbook is $10 or better yet, two cookbooks for $15.  You can also order by contacting Tami VanDrunen at (815)462-3060.

 

 

 

YOU ARE INVITED to help Rachel Gilmore celebrate her first book, The Complete Leader’s Guide to Christian Retreats at a service of Praise and Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 30 at 3 PM in the New Life auditorium.  Children are welcome!  A cake and punch reception will follow. 

 

 

 

PURSES NEEDED:  New and slightly used purses are being collected in the giant purse located at the Welcome Center for an upcoming project for Women’s Ministry.
