DORDT COLLEGE announces a new learning vacation to be held June 6-11, 2010.  Join Dordt professors Jim Schaap and Robb De Haan as they lead their third Great Plains Experience, this time on the "Prairie's Edge."  The motor coach tour begins and ends in Sioux Center at Dordt, and takes in a wide spectrum of topics including wind energy, changes in farming practices, the 1862 Sioux Indian Uprising, and lifestyles in small, rural communities.  You'll visit places in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota that most tourists will never find. CALLING ALL PRAISE BANDS, SINGERS OR ENSEMBLES to participate in a special event at Grace Community CRC (10415 S. Kedvale/Oak Lawn)! CHICAGO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING CENTER is co-facilitating an intensive weekend workshop for families called Family Recovery JUMPStart, designed to jumpstart the process of healing from the affects of a family member's addiction. The workshop will be held in their Orland Park location March 5-7, 2010 and is co-facilitated by Bob Weaver, MDiv, MSW, LCSW.  Cost is $1300 which includes 4 meals, all study materials and books. THE CHRISTIAN REFORMED WORLD RELIEF COMMITTEE (CRWRC) is currently working on a long term relief response for the people of Haiti. In so doing they are looking for volunteer Structural Engineers with preference given to those designated as Professional Engineers and specialized in concrete buildings. Main objective is to inspect existing structures. EXCITING NEWS FROM ROSELAND CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES (RCM)!  They will be a part of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Charity Program this year. The Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010.   This is a way to turn your passion for endurance events into a meaningful way to help raise money and awareness for RCM. The funds raised for RCM will go to provide 80 women and children with a warm place to sleep, three meals a day, as well as a community that cares, supports, and empowers them. We are asking for each runner to raise a minimum of $500 for RCM.  Registration for the Marathon opened on February 1st and it will sell out. CCHS MUSIC AND THEATER DEPARTMENTS will be presenting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on March 5 & 6 at 7 PM.  There will also be a 2 PM show on Saturday, March 6.  Tickets are $10for Adults and $8 for students and seniors.  All tickets are reserved and can be purchased through the CCHS office or at the door.
